3.8L Engine Squeal and stops running
Help! 2003 Mustang w/3.8L base and 5-speed. Engine has harsh squeal and stops running.
I've removed the FEAD belt and noise still there.
Crank Vibration Damper apears to be good.
Did find bad Cam Synchronizer and replaced entire assembly, engine runs better, but still develops BAD squeal then stops dead. Squeal appears to be in center of engine.
Would bad balance shaft bearings also produce squeal? No noticable engine vibration, it just runs until squeal, then stops.

How long does it run before it does this? does it do it with the clutch depressed or after its released? does it start back up and do it again or does it have to sit for a little bit before it can be restarted?
