Default Brake fails

I have a 98 mustang and the brake failed all of a sudden and then started working again so I tried changing the brake pads I could change the front one but on the rear I couldn’t bleed it. But even with the new brakes it still stops working all a sudden and starts working again. And also I can’t change the gear shift from P to D. Somethings it just doesn’t clicks

Have the hydro-boost unit looked at. Brakes are assisted by the power steering system.

And for the shifting from P to D, would be the interlock.

could be the master cylinder having a leak get past the seals. Had one on my Riviera...would brake just fine, but every 10th or so brake push it'd got almost to the floor. New MC made all the difference. Also check for any vacuum leaks...

Not able to bleed rears... could be the proportioning valve or just gunk in the rear lines... or bad rear calipers...

So is the rear bleeder screw just stripped or corroded? Because if you can verify there is absolutely no air in the system then that would at least eliminate one issue.
