I can't explain it....I will be the first to say I am not the smartest person in the world...but I know that there was barely any water in there.

Well I was a little worried about what everyone was saying about water and things getting in through the holes. So today while I was washing my car I made it a purpose to spray water in through the holes to see how much water actually got into the engine bay. Well I lifted the hood to see what was wet and to my surprise nothing got into the engine except for when I lifted my hood a few drops fell into it. So I am a little less worried now about it.
was the engine still slightly warm at the least bit? if so, the water probably evaporated before you could get the hood up.

which wont be a problem when youre driving, but when it rains and the engine is cold from just sitting around, then the water would just build up.

ok i am confused! [] did he remove the scoop and drill out the holes in the honey comb or remove the scoop altogether? even so, what good is that little airflow going to help, besides it is at the top of the engine with all the hot air from the engine, not much help IMO. But hey, i am a little stupid also.
