if ur lookin for that much hp, save up some do basic bolts ons first llike a cai, exhaust, 4.10 gears w/ t-lok, UD pulleys.

once you have ur basic mods, then get a vortech made for the 3.8. that shoud get everything good.
why would you suggest getting a CAI and UD pullies when neither will work with a Vortech? he would be just wasting money and a vortech isn't the best choice since it will only put out about 260rwhp on a splitport
Why is it that they woulnt work. Is this just for vortech or all s/c's
because the blower outlets are not in the right position for a CAI to work and UD pullies change the boost of the blower to an uknown unless you measure it plus finding the right length belt would have to be found.

UD pullies can be made to work but you need to find what boost it will run and which size belt is needed

thanks for all the advice guys, it has made my head free of many thoughts and quandries. If 280-300hp is not daily driver/street practical, what would be a rought guesstimate on horsepower that i should strive for to keep it running good and seksi and still make it faster then your average 6'er?

280-300rwhp will be very streetable and very reliable if it is tuned correctly. like i said don't go too steep with the gears. that is the key for streetability.

3.45's or 3.73's with an 11 psi procharger will be a GT eater and tame enough to putt around in city driving
