Depends where you go. Cali is strict. The guy I go to didn't hook my car up to the sniffer just looked under it made sure the tires were good and checked to see if it was throwing any codes, doesn't even pop the hood. Was waiting for maybe 5 minutes.
its not really a big deal getting smog done.
If you have something small like Torchred02 did then its no big, but if you put a complete turbo setup or LT's on your car it can be a PITA to return to stock.
All they do when checking smog is put it up on a diagnostic dyno, put the sniffer in, put a monitor on the engine that senses RPM's, check for CEL's and then perform the test.
Its about a 15-20 minute visit.

I like my accord. Its a fun little car. Really miss the rwd though. Things a tank in the snow with snow tires. I usually get about 28-32mpg out of it. The worst I've gotten was 23 like once, have seen 39 all highway though
