Changed the brakes and oil on my truck today. I was dreading the brakes b/c I heard the pistons were ceramic from factory, push them back in and they crack. But I got lucky(seems like the first time with this truck) and they were steel.
Also was throwing 2 codes, P0172 and P0175, Rich on bank 1 and 2. I had an exhaust like, post cats, so I sealed it and erased the codes. They havent came back but I only put 30 km on the truck so Ill see if they pop up tonight. Im hoping the CEL stays away, ive about had it with this truck.
I LOVE being good friends with a mechanic, I use the lift and get parts for cost. Just gotta do small things here and there, like change oil or help move vehicles around in the impound. I changed my tranny in the truck at his shop. Took me 3 days b/c I was doing it by myself(first time pulling a trans alone), I offered him $400 in cash and he refused it b/c "I help him out too much".

You guys might think Im crazy but.... im swapping out the stock cluster/hvac bulbs for.....

Yeah, while the rest of you are going white/blue/red... Im making the stock green backlighting.... even brighter.

Its a love hate relationship for me.
It took me almost 2 weeks to change an inner tie rod on my car, procrastination... got love it. I get the tire off to change it, loosen the castle nut, popping the tie rod off the spindle and bang, my hand goes straight into the rotor when Im cranking on the tool. Like ****... 5 minutes in and im already bleeding.
and no I dont wear gloves unless Im ripping a motor apart. And even then its nitrile palms with stretchy fabric on the back.
