Default horrible exhaust problem HELP

so the other day i was driving my car and i was at a stop sign and i had to pull out into traffic kind of fast and i noticed something sounded a little weird almost immediately. and then over the coarse of 3 days my car started sounding louder and louder and now it sounds like a beeter car. it has a horrible smell coming up from the passenger side like burnt exhaust and now my tailpipe is unbelievably black inside. i was wondering if anyone would know what that could be. the manafold gasket looks pretty good does not look like anything is wrong and the welds look clean like no cracks or anything.

I'd check the entire length of the exhaust. Sounds like you have leak somewhere.

Heya, welcome to MF.

For sure check the length of the exhaust like Matt said.

The black soot is normal, no worries there.

btw, is this 100% stock exhaust or dual? If aftermarket what is your setup?

It is really common for the stock muffler to rust out.
If you had a large chunk of rust break away then of course its going to sound worse and you will smell more exhaust.
