springs installed !! w/o pics ;)
lol got my springs installed today, did them myself, rear was friggen easy!
jack the rear up, put it on stands.
remove tires
jack your rear axle up from the diff.
unbolt the bottom bolt of each shock.
lower the jack
wiggle springs till they come loose
remove
replace
reverse steps
the front required the use of a spring compressor, i went out and bought one from snap on for 80$ canadian (its not a huge stand type compressor, but its just as quick if not faster)
jack front end up and put on stands
remove tires
unbolt the upper bolt to the rod thingy (i dont know the nameof) but its connnected to the front sway bar
unbolt the clip that hold your brake and abs lines
unbolt the 4 upper strut bolts (do not remove the center one for hte life of you)
unbolt the 2 lower strut bolts
remove the strut assembly
support disk either with wire or with a spare jack stand ( i used extra stands)
with compressor, sucurely fasten compressor to spring
compress spring
remove the center bolt with impact
release spring (slowly!!! dont be fooled by the length of the front springs.. they are friggen long!)
remove compressor
remove spring
add new spring
and reverse steps
becarefull make sure you upper strut bearing is in the right direction theres an arrow it should point in the direction of the lower strut bolts
i was too excited to get a before picture, but ill have an "after" picture of the car for you guys tmrw
the car sits beautifully now, compared to the 4x4 look it had before
btw i have V6 take offs for sale
