how do I tell if the car is taking in too much air and can I tell from an idle? What I want to do is hold the filter to the top of the air box, the removable part that sucks in the air and see if I have a problem. If I don't have ne problems then Ill open up the stock box so that it sucks the most cool air as possible. If someone doesn't give me a "hey thats a stupid idea" lol I think it would be interesting to see the gains, especially for those who don't want to put $250 into a CAI right now LIKE ME.

When I first started on the forum, I read about people getting a CHECK ENGINE light when they installed certain intake systems, without re-programming the computer.

I am going mild with our 05, I inserted a K&N replacement filter and am going to install a GT take-off muffler and that will be it.

Good post, lot's of good information.
