Tuner Question

Ok gang, I'm wondering how you guys get new tunes from Doug and the other tuners? Do they e-mail them to you? If so, then are the X-Cal2 and Diablo tuners Mac compatible?

Doug will include 3 tunes on the X-cal, but can email tunes if changes are needed. The software isn't available on Mac, so you'll have to find a friend with Windows (I'm a Mac guy too). I don't believe Diablo has Mac software either.

Hey since were on the tuner question should I buy a tuner from one of the people like alternative autos,bamachips..... or should I got to the local mustang shop Lamotta Performance or I can even just go to SCT headquarters cause there less than 20 minutes away from my house?

yeah that royally sucks.
i have mac too so id have to use dads computer and he could see me doing stuff! bad. im thinking of getting one without telling him...lol

IMO, if you have a speed shop available, go to them, try to get dyno tuned, takes all the guess work out of whats "actually" happening with your car, however most of the online guys have a pretty good setup no matter who you go with, and its definitly cheaper.

Mac guys... if you don't have access to a PC, you can ship your X-cal back to Doug if you need to make adjustments. He just wants a check for $10 to cover his return shipping cost.

you contact one of the tuners, give them the info on your car, send them payment, then run home after work/school and check your mailbox like a kid on Christmas morning for the next couple of weeks...
