Default Nubie Question #1 - Auto Tranny and Twisty Roads

Yeah I should have bought the manual but... is there any way to invoke more engine brake with the auto trans? The roads I want to run on are twisty with a lot of 15-20 mph curves. Nothing more than 40 mph. My thoughts are 3rd w/OD off - maybe even 2nd gear. Any thoughts? How about turning off traction control?

That would be the best thing to do. It even says to turn off O/D and downshift to lower gears in the owners manual.
