dual Loudmouth on 4.0?
hey guys
i just got a new 2006 mustang v6 for my 17th birthday, black and stick. I used to drive a 1989 Chevy pickup, and i loved hearing the roar of the engine, but i had to sell due to gas prices.( I was getting about 8mpg) I realize that i will not be able to acheive the same sound out of my v6, but i want it to be loud. I am a huge fan of the classic muscle car sound, so i have been looking for ideas. My idea was to get a custom H or X pipe made up and then have SLP loudmouth axle-back dual exhaust which is made for the GT. I am not concerned about it being legal or not, (there are no cops in Mount Bethel, where i live), i just want it loud, without it sounding like crap. I was even just considering straight pipes, but i dont know. If anyone has any ideas, they would be great!
thanks

RE: dual Loudmouth on 4.0?
Not that it's any of my business, but how do you plan on getting an illegal exhaust through PA inspection? I grew up in eastern PA and unless things have changed, you will have trouble.
Have you gone on the forum with all the exhaust clips and the suggestions for new mufflers? There is a lot of good info on those pages, perhaps you could use a system that will not draw attention to ALL loud vehicles and ruin it for all of us (I ride motorcycles also and we will all be running stock pipes some day if we don't use some better judgement). There are many good choices out there, enjoy your MUSTANG.

thanks dave, i will check out those sound clips
In reference to my comment about the exhaust being legal, i just need for it to pass emissions, one of my buddies does inspections, so he would be able to pass it, but im not concerned about the loudness

yea lester is right the from all the sound clips i have heard actual mufflers sound better on the v6 because the magnaflow kit that i have sounds good at idle and rev but when your actually driving the straight through muffler is killing the beast inside my stang...lol.
