Yea I would almost bet I pay the most on Insurence in this entire forum including the GT's cause of my age and past DUI. I pay GT prices, I could be paying more than a GT compared to some!! who knows lol Im stuck with a 6 for a while. I've never had a v8 but when I get my stuff more straight and get on my way with a career and my DUI drops off when Im over 25 IT ON!!! lol I want a V8 motor bad but I can wait I love the V6 its got the power of a stock 98 GT! lol

extremely minimal becacuse it acts like an idler pulley when the clutch isnt engaged. So if you arent running the ac you are lookin at maybe 1 or 2 hp from removing it. Just make that up somewhere else by removed 10 lbs lol.
Hi,
Screming has installed an oversize AC pulley, and got 3-5 RWHP with it ( see section "Every Little bit" on his site http://www.tammyandjohn.com/Mustang/...ng/Mustang.htm . I wonder if doing so needs a new belt, if not why?

So, coming back to your statement, gaining only 1 to 2, this must be able to yield much more if just a larger pulley gives 3-5. You must get double that?

GTCS1
Actually it's an oversize Alternator Pulley from PHP (www.paulshp.com). It's like $159 and includes the new belt.

Trace in your 6 for a GT and buy V6 bumpers if you want a sleeper. Cheaper than getting a terminator motor and modding it to work in your car.

About the insurance, who ever said you had to tell the agency if you swap the engines?

my insurance agent informed me that my insurence would almost double if I would get a GT convertible. I am paying 650$ every 6 month now for Mustang insurance since I reside in BAy Area, CA and get a multi car discount since I own 2 other cars. Getting a GT would bump my premium to over 1K every 6 month and that hurts :-( Also it is a daily commuter and every MPG that I save adds up to nice savings :-)
My friend has an identical GT convertible and his average is a few mpg worst than mine so I am fine with whatever power I have. The initial 5-7K that I saved by purchasing a V6 can be spend for a nice blower down the line without hurting my insurance and would probably still get the same MPG if I keep it below the boost range.

Yeah, insurance companies have this little thing about insurance fraud... Its really not something you want to mess with.
