Ok.. based on discussions with Lidio and Scott (remember Scott has the Interceptor) they both believe the stock pump is good for 460ish RWHP... and in the 5.0 article Paul states the stock pump is is fine...

ok... those are some sources I can trust LOL!

So... no boost-a-pump thingie... and, I bet I can talk them down on the install price. If parts, install and dyno were $5000, give or take a few bucks, I'm there.
hamid, theres updated info about the vortech from Alt, Auto about an instal they did, quote "Alternative experimented with the stock pump and the vortech supplied pump and found both lagging on the mustangs returnless fuel system" Xtreme Mustang Milestones 2006 page 71, he got 399 rwhp from a GT and 366rwtq said fuel pressure dropped, this was above 5000rpms, ? more food for thought.

bscottie... that is some really good info! I suppose it certainly won't hurt to have the upgraded fuel pump.
