225 is the width of the tire in millimeters. Thats right, it is 225mm wide.
The next number tells you how tall the tire is. 45 is a percentage of the width.
The last number tells you what rim the tire fits on and I think you understand that since you are asking about 18's!
FOR EXAMPLE:
225/45-18 are:
225mm wide
45% of 225mm = 101.25mm tall
18 is the diamiter of the rim.
2. You would look rediculus with 18 drag radials on your stang. If you really want decent drag tires then drop down to 15 or max 16's and buy soft slicks. The softer the tire the more they are going to grip. But remember more grip equals more $$$ and they do not last long!
3. Just do a search around and look for a nice soft tire package from tirerack.com or somthing.
