Has anybody removed the beltminder feature?

I agree (to a point) let them do what they want as long as it isn't endangering anyone else; Darwins Law will prevail.

I love how many mothers and fathers we all grow when asking about something we know is a "gray area". I'm pretty sure we all know the risks of seatbelts and street racing and just about everything else, but everyone else feels like it is their civic duty to remind us. Most of us are adults and the patronizing becomes a bit tiresome.
The manual's got the thing right, just follow that and you should be peachy keen.

RE: Has anybody removed the beltminder feature?
I disabled mine by following the directions in the owner's manual. What I was hoping to do is get it to not buzz when I first turn the car on and haven't buckled the seatbelt yet. That's not one of the choices.
So now I could drive around without a seatbelt on and not have the warning keep going off, but it's such a habit that I feel almost naked without the seatbelt on.

Ok, just came back from trying it one more time, and it actually worked; YEY! No more annoying noise! Except for the exhaust vibrations! LOL! Thanks guys and yeah it says specifically not to do both seats at the same time, I feel real stupid! LOL! Thanks again!

Glad to help~! I DO WEAR MY SEAT BELTS!! For all those worry warts. I only dissabled it because of the stupid irritating noise when you're just just sitting in your Stang with the engine running not going anywhere for a while. It was annoying. Do the locks too as I mentioned above.....
