lol everybody has the cool people want to race them. People that race me are just angry. After i beat them by a couple of car lengths (in the case of the celica) or a couple of stop lights (corolla rofl) they always just blow by me after i slow down. Whats with that? You lost, i slowed down... whats the point of flying past me? No one ever gives me the thumbs up or "hey nice ride/race" just angry people. Same thing happend when i raced a beat up (but new) chevy silverado. Blew it away, then slowed down, and it flew by me, flicking me off.

Ricers do that to me all the time...they race up and blow by after I have slowed down and tapped the brakes a couple of times....whatever makes their kickstands feel bigger.

Does having your TCS on kill your performance when racing? I've always had mine on during the seldom times of racing.

i woudlnt say "kill" but it does effect your performance. I'v raced witih it on and still havent lost yet. It just puts a delay on your throttle and i think it makes you shift early (in an auto).

if you dont spin your tires i dont think it will affect anything, but if they do then it cuts the power and you have to wait what seems like forever for everything to kick back in.

I drove a demo with the TCS for a weekend. It rained that weekend and I purposely put the TCS to the test. It is a bummer that it uses the anti-lock breaks to compensate for the wheel spin. I bought mine with no ABS or TCS.

Mine is stick, so the effect is probably less than on an auto. The only thing I think it affected was my choice just to punch it from a dead stop, rather than drop it from, maybe, 2k rpms. It doesn't give excessive wheel spin that would affect your launch too much, but lets a nice little chirp go, nonetheless. Still, I think a chirp on the 1-2 shift is cooler...and 2-3 even cooler than that!
