hey i have a bolt broke off insde my water pump pulley.. ANd i think i might have damaged it cause the other 3 bolts will losen up every once in awhile and cause a knovking noise. WILL the v8 one work on ours .. is it the same.. i was looking at the v8 PH elec one. please any help would be great,

yeah fazm said the 4.6 is a mod motor... I have the bolt stuck in the housing .. dont know what to do to get it out

 

You might try an easy out to get the piece of bolt out or take the water pump off to get the bolt out. At worst you'll have to replace the water pump and pulley and one bolt.

 

you have to fix it at the high rpm's the out of balance shaft due to the missing bolt will trash the pump

so the broken bolt is it one of the four that hold the pulley on? maybe there is some tread sticking thru the back and you can grab it with some pliers and remove it from the rear,

 

If a piece of the bolt is sticking out where you can get some vice grips on it with the pulley off you're home free. Then you will just need the one bolt to replace that one but it may be wise to replace all of the bolts. You'll have to loosen the other three bolts somewhat ,release the tension on the belt tensioner with a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar and take the belt off of the pulley. Then by hand take the other bolts out. Get the other bolt out and replace with new bolts. The diagram that Afixer supplied should tell you where the bolts are for the water pump if you need to replace the pump.
