Default Prob with my 05 V6

I have a 2005 V6 auto, and had it since November. Not one problem until today. I was driving about 55 60 mph, and i felt a surge in the power for a second. So I kept going trying to listen and see if I could hear anything funky, then when I came to the stop, the RPM's went way down before it downshifted, and it died. I started it back up and revved it a bit then let it go, and it died again. Well I did the same and tried to keep the pedal about the same, and it was hesitating badly, so to keep it running I had to keep revving it a bit, and when I pulled into the parking lot, it died. My buddy told me it might be my Mass airflow sensor dirty, so I took it out and cleaned it carefully with a Q-tip. I took it for a cruise and it ran good, but my question is if this has happened to anyone else, and if so, what was the problem? Or if someone could tell me what it might be. Anything would be helpful.

what mods do you have the only reason the maf might be screwed up is if you have a CIA that has too much oil on it . if its stock it could be alot of things. fuel pump TB or electrical. i would just take it to the dealer. has it put up any codes?

It is just stock, and it has 14,500 miles, so I am taking it on Monday to the dealership. I tried to clean the MAF but it is spotless. I heard it could be my O2 sensors or something with the accelerator something-or-another. Oh yeah, and I fixed the license plate...thanks for the concern. javascript:void(AddText(''))

It sounds like the same thing that happened to me awhile back. The little dash wrench light came on when the car went into limp home mode. I limped it into the dealer and they replaced the TPS and some other stuff before they realized that the air cleaner box wasn't secured properly when the oil was changed (by them) two weeks before. It was raining that day and it probably ingested some water. Anyway that's the only problem I've ever had with it and it was fixed that day. I'd take it to the dealer and exercise the warranty on it.
