Again, you sound just like me!! LOL I think it would be the tires. I have the same prob! Couldn't get past 15.1 for the life of me!!! I have stock BFG's. That ='s no traction. Are tires suck at the track. If it ain't the tires then its with me and I need more experience on the track!! LOL but im pretty sure its the tires bro cause I have the exact same prob. I had dual exhaust with x pipe,intake,gears-373,tlok,lca's,uca, and short throw shifter and still couldn't break 15.1. That was the best I could get that time too[:@] really erked me. I have thrown on the Procharger since then and I have not been back to the track yet. I bet with stock tires I will barley see a 14.9 meybe 14.8 even with the blower!! I don't see the charger knocking off that much time with stock tires. Get some better rubber then see how you do. Post it too,I wanna know cause I can totally relate to how you feel man.

u sure it was an ss and not a z28? auto or stick?

i see a lot of the z28 autos running 14s. but 95mph is real slow for him, as well as 89 being real slow for you. I only trap 93.7mph though... and thats at 14.5 hrmmm maybe that is right?

This is what it's supposed to look like except for the blackout hood-my car was not ordered with that

Hey boss, sorry to go off topic, but your Mach 1 is amazing. My dad had a Mach 1 funny car back before I was born.

Obviously he's the fastest guy I know.

I will trade both of my mustangs , all their parts, books and paperwork for your dads funny car. I can't say I saw that car race though, but I remember when Milan first got computer timing.

Back on subject I am going back to the track tonight withth microtuner/S&B-it's gonna be much cooler (high 70's), that should help. I also brought the SCT2/C&L combo to switch to. Over the weekend i'm gonna change plugs, wires and see if I can get to the fuel filter to clean or change it. I would like to check the fuel pressure at high RPM"S to see if it's dropping.

I don't have drag radials, I have street Nittos that rygenstormloc also used, he had better results when he smoked'em up.

I won't be able to post what happens at the strip untill wednsday when I get back in town.

Alot of people are under the assumption that the SS is faster than the Z28 when in fact, they are basically the exact same car with a couple of very minor differences (mostly cosmetic). They are both the same where it matters.... both have the LS1 engine (late model), the same trans and the same rear end. At the most an SS might be 10-15 hp more with the SLP option.

I had an '01 SS and I was very disappointed to find out that a well driven (same year) Z28 would beat me. [:@]
