Default Does the radio scroll text?

I was wondering if there is a way to change how MP3 disc text comes up in the radio. On mine right now it only displays the first letters, not the whole thing. And it never scrolls or changes to show the rest. For exampe the I played the song "The Who - Who Are You" and it just says "The Who - Wh" the enitre duration of the song, unless I hit the text button. I would like to see the whole thing.

I was thinking the same thing just the other day. Would have been a nice touch.

A few weeks ago someone posted info about how to make that happen. I forgot what they said, but it's possible that the info is in the owners manual somewhere.

I have the answer for you. To active the scrolling text here is what you do.

In the radio mode press and hold the MENU button until the RDS OFF shows up then press the right arrow on the seek to turn on the text scroll function this will active the SHOW feature. This is in the owners manual.

After testing this it only scrolls the band name and song and during commericals it will show the radio station, it does not scroll the CD song name.

The manual say it isn't a functional feature.

yes, I know thats what the radio scroll feature looks when using the AM/FM radio. What I am looking for is for it to do that with CDs as well. I already have the feature set to do that with the FM, but when a CD is inserted, the text doesn't do that.

I have the radio set to show the artist and song title. Not all the radio stations send the signal that shows this information and sometimes the ones that do show it apparently turn off the function.

As for CD's. I played a CD that I copied on my computer and VOILA, it showed the artist and song title as the music played. The CD's that you purchase apparently don't automatically show the information on the screen. I don't plan on copying all my CDs to the computer just to enjoy the benefit on this feature on my STANG.
