Default Getting a Mustang!!

Hi, Im new to this forum. Im buying an 05 Mustang, and was doing some searches and found this site. Awesome site. Anyways in about 2 weeks I'll have my Mustang. Its a 2005, v6, 5 speed. Its yellow and has 2 black racin strips down the middle, and the car is in perfect condition and it really good lookin. Also has custom chrome rims, GT bumper, int upgrade sport package and alarm. It has 13,000 miles on it, and im paying $18,000 for it, and then i had a trade in also so it willbe a little lower then that. Sounds like a good deal to me. I can't wait to get it. About how many miles highways will it get? Does the v6 give the mustang decent power to take off pretty quick.
Thanks
Ryan

Let me be one of the first to say Congrats !!!!! And trust me there will be alot to come. For the question if V6 gets a good take off, I have to say yes (If not Auto) But get a few custom mods done to your car like the CAI, Rear wheel ratio, etc, and you will see what a V6 can do.

Yeah the car is great. But as you will learn you will want to Mod your car to wake up your pony. But even without mods she is a pretty sweet ride. Congrats and welcome to the family

I got my 06 on clearance for the 07's at Davis Moore in Wichita, KS for $16,999.99. With 12 miles on it. There were like 6 to choose from, they are now ALL gone...lol . I cant wait to get my sang modded, to see the real potential of my V6.

Even with the maybe 2K in upgrades ... you'd be better of buying a new one ... expecially since you now get the 5 yr / 60,000 mile warranty even on the leftover 06's ... and $1500 cash back ...

i agree, look hard at buying nnew. id stay away from 05's. first year models had the most problems. i know you are drooling at the add-ons but you can do those yourself later. No way used car prices can beat the price the new ones are selling for.

Why spend 18K when for a little more, like $25 a month you get a new one?

Nice choice with the Stang, yellow dont look good on too many cars but i like it on ours hope you enjoy it.

In response to one of the posts i just thought i would share my sad story. The 05's have had alot of problems but luckily mine is still under warranty so i didnt have to pay for anything...So far i've had to have the gas tank, the trunk fuse, the pinion rack thing, one of the a/c rings, and the left side drivers mirror all replaced which kinda sucks cuz its in the shop every week but its still an awsome car. And ya its pretty slow on the acceleration since i got an auto but i do the fake shifting and use 1,2,3,D to get off better. Have fun modding.
