Default Plug wires

Ok so this morning I'm messing around the house before I had to leave for work and I have Spike TV Horse Power Block on and one of the advertiser it Taylor Wires and they keep talking about how replacing their plug wires would produce more power. Now I'm very much a newbie and I know better plug wires produce more consistant spark but do the really increase power? How many people have changed their wires and what results did you see? Which brand is the best?

JBA claims 5 HP from a "project engine" of their's.. (or so I remember)
They probaly don't give off anything, but eventually its something I might do..just to do it lol

supposedly they will give you more voltage to your spark plugs because they have less resistance giving you a bigger, hotter spark and a fuller burn, but you would really have to change your ignition system which would actually increase the amout of voltage created for it to really be nessasary. It does look cool though and I am sure that it would help some, but probably not enough to really notice it. Also I would reccamend changing to 4pt spark plugs like the bosh (sp?) platnum +4 if you change yor wires and definately if you change your ignition system. those plugs suposedly add hp all by themselves, but in actuallity I would bet it is just like the plug wires. by themselves, not really noticable, but when added to everything else, would probably help out a decent amout.

I say no... quality wires will give you consistancy not horsepower... your ignition system will give you horsepower an your wires need to be there for the system... but wires alone.... no... in my most humble opinion.... [:-]
