Default Help - rattling coming from the dash

I think I remember seeing a few posts about a low rattle that seems to come from somewhere inside the dash, I was wondering if you guys could let me know what this is and how to get rid of it. I can only hear it with the radio all the way off and if the RPM's are fairly low, around 2000-2200. It seems to come from inside the dash, around the CD changer or the glovebox maybe? Doesn't seem serious just kinda annoying after all this is my baby.

Thanks

I've got it too, I'm going to see the dealer about it. It sounds like maybe a wiring harness that could be strapped a little tighter? I'm speculating because the previous owner swapped the stock stereo for the shaker 500 HU

I had what sounds exactly what you described. Even though it sounds like it is in the center stack of your dash it is from the exhaust system. There is a TSB about it, and it is a quick fix. I took mine in and described it and asked about the TSB -- if they tell you that they can't do the fix because they can't recreate it, remind them it is intermittent so may not occur when they have it, and they should proceed to fix it.

I have the same rattle and it seems to be coming from the passenger side.

I agree because it seems to only happen when the car is cold and at a certain rpm level. Even though the rattle sounds like it is coming from the dash, it likely starts in the exhaust system or drive train.
