Sometimes there's nothing you can do
Make sure you have that car checked out by a few different mechanics before letting the insurance company tell you its not totaled.
If the frame is bent bad, thats not something that will ever be back to 100%. Your rear bumper is in far, the rear impact bar must have shoved its way into the spare tire compartment.
If you were hit hard enough for your side panels to buckle, chances are that the frame is bent. Like I said, have it checked out by a few different people before letting the insurance company close the claim.
If they do not consider it totaled, one thing I know insurance companies dont check is the tires. (Bald spots)
I hate to bring bad news, but you never want to have to suffer with a car that's been in a collision when its not your fault.

After 6 weeks in the body shop, my Stang is back home. Those wheels need cleaning don't they?. Did a couple upgrades while it was in. Upgraded to the Roush front facia and spoiler.
If anyone needs a Tungsten OEM spoiler PM me. I'll let it go for cheap.

Well, here is some of the damage. I know what the paramedic meant when he said it was buckled. Both rear fenders are right above the wheel. I dont know what it's going to cost, but it doesn't look like it's enough to total it out. The front facia will need to be replaced as well as the drivers seat but I didn't take a pic. I looked underneath and everything looked intact. The mufflers were not even loose. But I'm not a mechanic. If they do not total it, my only concern will be to make sure it's 100% just like before.
Thanks again for all the well wishes. When I here from the adjuster next week I'll pass along the verdict.

Frame was damaged (see above) but it all came out just fine. Drives just like before. Can't even tell I had work done.
Damn!!!!!!!! i thought the car was like mashed potato!!!
it ain't that bad damage man.. i REALLY REALLY REALLY do not think they will total that car with that damage.. it is a new stang.. if i would have that damage on my 97 LT1, yeah, then they would total it.. cuz it ain't worth it to repair.. do you know when they total a vehicle????? they total a vehicle when the repairs costs more than what the vehicle is worth
glad to hear you are ok..
EDIT: oopppss!! i am too late.. i see stang is back
you SERIOUSLY need wheels & kinda wide tires with thhat roush body kit..

It's alright, but yes the Stang is back!!! And I couldn't be more excited. It drives awesome.
The total damage was around $8500. In TN they total it if repair costs reach 75% of the actual cash value (whatever that is, it's not KBB) Anyway, I'm happy with the way it held together being crunched from both sides.
Glad you're okay and that everything turned out alright! The carlooks great! I had the new knocked off of mine by a boozed up [sm=icon_cheers.gif]software developer in Seattle two months after I bought it[sm=icon_beat.gif]. His Insurance company said his policy had lapsed[sm=icon_flaming.gif]! No injuries but the pain was still unbearable for weeks. I even had to drive a Grand prix for a week![sm=insomnia.gif]It all worked out and even though the car hasn't felt new since I still have lots of love for her especiallly after a few new shiny add ons.
