My friend was talking about reving my car in neutral and then putting it in drive. What would this do? Auto

I dont think he know much about cars.

if you want to buy a new transmission go ahead and try it
i would strongly advise aginst it

it wont do anything, s197s i believe have a safety feature like this with the DBW, it will first lower the car toa round 1000 rpms and then engage the gear, on any other car though, do it, if you want a new tranny

You're better off pumping the brakes, then stomping on them and reving the engine while in Drive. Won't hurt the tranny and it'll give you the effect you're looking for, I would imagine.

wont do anything if your stock. Shouldnt with a tune either but it could be possible never tryed it
