That dissabled airbag light is only a warning. When you start your car, it will light up for a few seconds and go off if no one is in the seat. If someone is in the seat, or a heavy box or something, then it will only flash when you start the car. If someone's been sitting there and they get out, the light goes back on for a few seconds, then goes back off. At least that's what I've noticed.

My old lady sees the button flash and she freaks out like she thinks I'm gonna get in an accident on purpose to get rid of her! hmmmm

When my wife gets is in the pass seat the airbag turn off and the light comes on ...she weighs 110 so iam guessing it has to do with the weight of the person in the seat. WHen i put boxes and files 20 -25 lb the light also comes on . Thats how it is supposed to be. Dont mess with it.
