Default Best Intake??

Hey guys, what's the best intake to get without having to tune it? The only reason I'm asking is because I plan on going F/I and I want a temporary upgraded intake that I don't have to tune until I get a supercharger. I don't want to spend $500 for a C&L and SCT Tuner when I'm just going to replace it next year. I'm open to any suggestions. Also, with a better intake without the tune make that popping noise that I get from driving around for the first few minutes? Thanks guys!

I've got the TI intake that requires a tune and Ilove it, but If I were to do it allover again, I think I would skip an intake alltogether, but still get an Xcal so I could at least tune her. You'll want it down the road anyways. Tuning even without an intake is still gonna open her up over stock.

I have the AFE intake kit for the V6. It's been dynoed at a 12HP gain. It doesn't require a tune and is super easy to install! I got mine really cheap from a fellow Mustang Forums member (thanks P.R.)! My car dynoed at 186HP with nothing more than stock and an AFE intake. Hope this helps.

Well i would say get an sct II and CAI for the simple fact youd be so much more happier with the tune instead of the intake. Or even just get a tune and no intake the tune will be better then just the intake. If you invest in the tuner cai combo you can always resell the tuner and cold air intake and make some money back. Just keep the products in good condition and since the tuner wont decrease in value since itll be rarely used then you should get the majority of it spent back.

Just get a K&N drop-in for 40 bucks, but get the tuner as you'll need it with any FI anyway.
