My drivers side airbag warning light started coming on this week. When I start the car up, it light stays on (yellow) until I turn the car off. Any ideas? I was planning on taking it into the dealership this weekend, but wondered if anyone else had this problem?

Take it to the dealer. If the light is on, that means the airbag isnt going to deploy in the event of an accident.

PS: Warranty will more than likly cover this problem.

I wonder if they will give me any crap though. I changed out the steering wheel to the leather one about 10 months ago. I didn't start having problems with the airbag light until this week though. I guess I could say the car came with that steering wheel, they would never know.

If they want to look it up they'll know. Have you tried to sit in the passenger seat to see if it will go off? Have you replace your factory radio?

I have never placed the radio, still factory. I have not tried sitting in the passenger seat, the problem is with the drivers side airbag.
