just woundering if the gt take off muffler is a simple swap or is ther some modification i have to do to the brackets and will the tip stick out to far???

Easier than falling out of a tree

You just unbolt the old axleback and slip the new one on, it will line up perfectly with stock hangers. It takes about 20 minutes!

Glad to see someone else who chose the right color!

GreenMachine,
The GT takeoff muffler swap is very, very easy.
The v6 mufler has an extra hanger. I just left mine on the car.
It took me about 45 min to do.
The muffler tip does stick out farther than the v6 muffler, but I dont think it looks bad.
If you do a search in the forms, you should be able to find some pictures of the GT takoff mufflers
on a v6 mustang.

The swap is one of the easiest mods I have done. Sounds great and looks better sticking out farther than the stock muffler. Here's a pic and a clip.

thanx guys i put it on today and it took just under an hour but i think i have to readjust it its a little slanted...but it sounds great....i have the other side to put on soon i just hope it sounds the same with a duel set up as it does with the single i will post some pics soon

i had a flowmaster 40 series befor and i had to put the stock one back on too loud and drony
