no your not getting bigger brakes...and the takeoff rear ends dont come with brakes. the rear brakes are identical on the v6 and gt. the fronts have the same calipers but different rotors.

check paulboy on www.mustangcollective.com he gets sick prices on takeoff parts.

yeh I dk if the 8.8 is worth it. scrming I believe is on the stock rear end and hes doing fine with all his power. (i think). So I think that it wouldnt be cheaper anway. because the parts are like 300 for gears and lsd, but the rearend is about 700. The install for each will be high, the rearend maybe less, but it will still incur a significant cost.

I went to a ford dealer and asked what the labor would be for LSD and 3.73s and they said 600+ for labor alone.

I obviously walked.

I think installing the whole rear end is a DIY job if you have the tools, where as tloc and gears is not. SCRmng is a auto, I think the 7.5 is having problems on the manuls with a power adder. If you have neither of these (and do not plan on them for the future) stick with the 7.5
