I have a 2006 V6 with the pony package. I just picked up a pair of GT take offs and I want to install them on my car. I looked under the car and it looks like there is a capped pipe just before the Y into the single pipe. Does anyone know if you can just tie into this and run the second pipe out to the rear?

Read the first two "HOW-TO" threads shown at the bottom. I believe that both talk about doin what you're asking about. I had the second pipe installed for dual GT mufflerswith all Ford parts, including the X pipe and mid-pipe. The X pipe replaces the factory2into1 Y pipe, with the pipes after the catalytic converters being cut for the X pipe.

RE: dual exhaust gains?
okay guys, thanks for the advice. I will go with the CAI & tuner first and save the duals mod for later. Just heard about about a good dyno shop in East Hartford so maybe I will go there afterwards depending on the rates!!! A friend of mine built up his Ford Lightning truck to like 600 hp and they dynoed it for him and he was very happy with it.
