@ 8cd

if you are referring to joe's 1453rwhp stage 6 twin turbo ford gt, he is NOT on the stock engine. he went just over 1000rwhp on the stock engine, and decided he wanted more and didnt feel like grenading the stock engine finding its limits.
i thought they said he was still on the stock short block with heads/cams? I could be wrong though.

wow you are gonna be having some fun. Should be an insane street car. You're gonna have some fun with the new camaros and hell...the next super vette LOL!
You got that right, I can't wait to line up against the new Camaros and Challengers. That is good for the hobby seeing those come along. From what I understand the Challenger is utilizing the 300 drivetrain, so it will have IRS, which will make it more of a challenge as the rear will have to be addressed for serious track cars.
Speaking of Camaros, my wife recently fell in love with the '67-'69 versions and now is leaning towards it for her car. My son just got the '87 Mustang GT, so we need to find a way to talk her out of that! Can't have Pony Wars going on in my garage.
tell her she either gets a mustang or a mini-van. Her choice. LOL!

Haha! She would laugh in my face!
The only remotely "family" type car she likes is the Edge w/ the 3.5 Duratec.
It will make life interesting that's for sure!

if she wants classic muscle she should go all out

it'll cost a pretty penny tho LOL!

you know...if ford had just made an exact replica of that car with new drivetrains and lighter materials...id buy it in a second. I dont care if they did it because they couldn't come up with anyhting new, that is undebatably the sexiest ****ing car on the planet.

this needs to go into production NOW.

Well, I happen to agree with you, but she doesn't!
She likes the look of old school Camaro's over the old school Mustangs.
Unfortunately prices for one in fair to good condition have skyrocketed. I would even be willing to go with a shell and go from there if need be.
Gotta admit, they are sexy looking. Now imagine dropping an LS7 in it!

one of my buddies got a 68 shell with his dad that was in fair condition, dropped the lq9 from the escalade in it , did just the usual bolt-ons (intake, tune, exhaust - open headers LOL!) and that damn thing ran 12.4@110 last weekend at milan on et streets. I suggest you go that route if you do it cause it is ****in bad *** and that engine is easily had. Sounds like a damn helicopter. I can get him in contact with you if you end up doing something similar and want to hear from someone that has done it.

Well, we will need to recoup some coin after shelling out for my new build as well as the son's Fox. We are shooting for 09 to pull the trigger on something "special" for her.
I actually had a good conversation with PowerHouse about a late 60's Camaro project if she chooses the classic route, should be interesting.
Would hate to not add another Mustang into the corral, but gotta keep her happy as she puts up with me!
As far as your buddies setup, sounds awesome. I've seen similar setups at the tracks around here. I live in Chevy country. There is a GM plant near here that builds the Cobalts, so Fords aren't nearly as common.
