you have to put some holes in the hood. I'm sure it will come with instructions but you're gonna have to do some drilling. When/if you do get them, drill from the inside of the hood to the outside. I know that it doesn't sound pretty or accurate but if you measure a few dozen times and get everything set up so you feel comfortable, you'll do fine. I liked the look of the Sparco anodized blue hood pins but I've read some mixed reviews saying that the color rubbed off, they're not great quality, etc. I'd do some research or talk to someone using them before you make up your mind for sure. It's never a bad idea to have them, especially if you're using a lightweight hood. I just happen to like the look of them.

I don't personally but I've read about them. A lot of people like the Shelby ones because they don't tend to wear out the paint on the front edge of the hood because the Sparco ones probably will. Here's a how-to from the site. There's sort of an X-shape in the stock hoods in one picture on the second page, I'm not sure if yours will have that since it's aftermarket but there's a good chance. If you feel queasy at any point, you can probably bring it to just about any auto place and have them finish it for maybe $30 or so. https://mustangforums.com/m_793341/mpage_2/key_/tm.htm Shelby has a few different types on their page but if you're uneasy about drilling, I probably wouldn't recommend the billet ones. I believe those are the ones that take about a 2 inch diameter hole. Just measure about a dozen times (or more) and you should be good. Nobody's going to come up to your car and tell you that your hood pins are off center by .008"
