Supercharged 4.0 or charged GT help?
I was talking to my parents about supercharging my 4.0 by the summer and ask them everything I would have to do insurance wise and reliability w/mechanics. He said, when the time comes, I will have a few options:
1. Supercharge the 4.0 and get about 400bhp+ and be pretty reliable(35k miles on engine) It's an automatic.
2. Get a stick 99-04 GTand go full bolt-on or supercharger it if internals are safe enough for it(any ideas on what stock 99-04 GT's internals are good for rwhp wise?) 25k-45k miles on engine and 500bhp~
3. Get a05-06 anddo just a cai, mufflers, and tune.(within the year after I get it, and if I choose this route, the car will have probably around 50k miles+) Forgot to tell you it would be a stick. 340bhp~
Any ideas and input on this would be great. I really wanted a stick car first, but the auto was a deal I couldn't pass up and finding a manual was almost as hard as looking for santa claus on christmas. I want a faster car, soany situation is a win.I'm still not sure what to do. Pluses and minuses of each choice would be a lot of help too! Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah, it does have sentimental value from b/c my now dead grandparents bought it for me in the early spring last year. But since new options are a possibility, I am not sure what to do. Keeping it and supercharging it one of the options, but I'm not sure b/c a 99-04 GT will be a stick and charged will be a good second at least quicker than my car charged or I can get the slowest option, a newer GT and with a stick, but only 340hp~.
VORTECH!!!! If you have already put money in your 4.0 and like it. Supercharge it. If you want an 8 and like the look of the older mustangs go for it. But I wouldn't get the older ones unless it's a COBRA, stick with the supercharged 4.0!!!

Centri's!(AKA Vortech intercooled one). Yeah, I was thinking of keeping the 4.0 and charging it b/c it already has duals, headers, and gears which are great for the vortech, but a 99-04 GT chargedw/ a stick will make me at least a second quicker than my 4.0 charged. The new GT I just decided to not even consider. Any ideas on how much a T-5 or other manual transmission swap would run for a 4.0? That's an option too, butit would be a little costly, more fun, and probably once I'm charged, add a good 15-25rwhp over my auto transmission. I really like the looks of my 4.0, but I don'tknow if I'd rather have a stick and a good 50-100rwhp more w/an older chargedGT? I really wanta stick and more speed, so a transmission swap, if it isn't that costly will definitly aid in mydecision making. Thanks for the help!

Insurance will be less with the 6, so you have to factor that in. I would find out how much it will cost to insure all three the cars. I like the new edge, but the 3v 4.6 is a more solid performer. If it came down to the two, I would go with the 3v vs. the 2v new edge gt. What are your performance goals?
dude. you are the most finicky person i have ever seen. damn. im just happy with having a new mustang, and plan on building as i go. if you sell/buy/trade in these cars like you want to when you getolder and you'll be in up to your neck in debt. jeez. i'd think that having the best looking car on the road would be good enough for someone, but i guess not. if you cant be happy with what you got then why'd you get it to begin with?
