I just want to know everything I can about it's dangers. After reading everything, I will probably be like you guys and never street race again. Just the thought that over125 people die a year b/c of street racing is changing my opinion on street racing. And a found a statistic that found out that 1 out of every 20 people that street race get into a crash. Looks like no more street racing for me. I'll hold racing off for the track then. It's not worth the risk or the dangers to others. Thanks for pointing all this out to me guys. You probably saved me from at least a carcrash in the future.

I'll take my odds at street racing over stepping foot on a ladder!

134 people died in 2004 from falling off a ladder or scaffolding. http://www.nsc.org/lrs/statinfo/odds.htm

You're not just taking "your odds" when you engage in stupid crap on the streets. You're taking a risk for the dad taking his kids out for ice cream or the school teacher driving home from work without their knowledge or agreement. What gives you that right?
This argument has a simple answer, take it to the track. Yeah its gonna cost some money with the helmet cost, admission and gas but its a whole lot better then getting chased by a cop and getting a ticket for street racing. im not sure what the laws about it are where you live because they are different everywhere you go but here in GA, its 7 points and a 500 ticket. now 500 might sound like alot but just waite till your insurance triples. in one year you will end up paying 5k for a street race when you could have done it safely at a track, and got to see some other bad as s cars run too. ill be honest, i have street raced a few times but there is a track about an hour from my house that costs 10 bucks to run all night so we make a trip up there at least once a month.

street racing is dangerous, period, however, we all know at one point or another weve all done it, its just knowing when to stop, when im not at the track i only go from a light to no more then 15 over the limit, is it really that much of a PITA to go for a little ride and pay $15 to run at a track vs a $500 street racing ticket, loosing your car, dieing, and getting 10 pts on your license?
if you think you can handel a new car, i would vote for a mach 1 which can be had for ~15 now, and you can find termis in the low 20s as well

How many of those people falling off ladders killed innocent people that just happened to be passing by at the wrong place and time?
