First off, congrats on having what I think is an awesome supercharger system (both of them). A buddy of mine has an '06 V6, and he's considering the Xcharger or the Procharger. He has a daily driver/weekend track warrior and wants to know what kind of times people are pulling at the track before he makes his final decision. I will be doing his install, so give me any feedback about difficulty of installation if you can. Much appreciated. -Nine
Tell him to get a procharger, the instal is like any other SC.

v6's aren't track cars.
Rygen and Navcrebet= You are soooo wrong.

Some people have forgotten what modding cars is all about.

That's almost one of the most ridiculous statements I've heard on these forums. You think a little 281 4.6 liter V8 is the only "track car"? Do you hide when the real engines show up?

First off, you're first statement tells me you've never installed a supercharger before. Each brand I've done has had it's own ups and downs, with roots and twin screws generally being far easier than centrifugals. Secondly, I don't know what mystery car you're driving, but I'm man enough to admit that there are a few V6s out there that would hand my GT its own ***.

I run my xcharged V6 at the track, it may not be a track car but there a4re plenty of different cars there with something besides a V6 and a lot of them get to read my rear license plate when I cross the line before them, best of 13.2@105 so far, not the best out of the car yet, driver still in training

what are the real problems or long term problems with having a supercharger on your dd? ups and downs?

I honestly don't think there are any negatives to having a Sc on a DD. It all depends on how you drive the vehicle, such as constantly maxing and redlining gears. That would cause extra problems regardless of a SC. I suppose there might be some extra strain on the engine while in boost but with a by-pass valve that shouldn't be a concern. The positives are extra power, on demand.
