If you want to have a power n/a engine, you might want to look at a full SSM engine with a 10.0:1 ratio. A built engine with 8.8:1 with the stock intake made 201rwhp/216rwtq. With a 10.0:1 CR and an intake, you could probably hit the mid 200rwhp level (which I am guessing is what you are looking for).

in lieu of a kit, it's still possible to increase stroke. Hot rodders have ground down the rod journal on the crank, and/or used pistons with a wrist pin closer to the crown of the piston and longer rods.

Boring the cylinders is the obvious way to increase displacement also. Maybe a slight overbore with longer rods since you have to replace the pistons anyway ?

Just a thought. Good luck.
