V6 reliabilty question...
the only problem you will have with your stang, whether v6 or v8 is trying to stop spending money on appearance and performance updates. (there is no cure by the way) Who the heck wants to spend money modifying a Camry..and worse, who would admit to it?
I posted this a while back, but I thought it was worthy of posting it again;
Smashed up Mustang....driver only has minor injuries! I think this says a lot for crash protection of our cars!

Mine has been very reliable. I haven't had it quite 2 years yet and have more than 60,000 trouble free miles on it and I don't drive it easy. Other than normal maintenance it hasn't been to the dealer at all.
Ya thanks for the concern from everybody. Basically my stang is in the shop and they talkin bout its gonna take like 6 grand to fix everything and they are still takin it apart to see what else is broke.
A Month before I bought my '05 Vert, I leased my wife a new Toyota Sienna Van. Since then the Toyota was recalled 3 times, for bad tires, a faulty air conditioning sensor, and a passenger restraint. The Battery also failed, and the dealer replaced it under warranty. The Toyota has 33,000 miles on it. My Mustang-no recalls. No major problems other than a sticky rear window and a shifter cover that needs replacing. No contest in my opinion.
these things are tanks. the engines been around forever. (in different forms) but in all honesty, if you take care off anything it'll last you a loooooooooooooooooong time with no problems. but if you abuse it, it'll blow up in your face. if you plan on keeping it stock (or having minor mods) and dont drive very spiritedly (unlike me) it'll last you forever.
I purchased my back in August on a friday in SC and drove it on Sunday back up to MD which is about a 400 mile trip (which was cool because i got a chance to open it up for the first time). I filled up before i got on I-95 in SC and made it all the way to my exit which is about 50 miles from my house. The gas reader still said that i had another 150+ miles left in my tank, which i thought was a little weird because it said that my tank was full at around 360 miles a tank. Being hard headed i didn't think nothing of it. All in all i ended up stuck on the side of road about 20 miles from the nearest gas station. Took it to the dealer they didnt see anything wrong with it. Haven't had a problem with my car since though very pleased with my buy.
