RE: Stock Horespower
no way a manual makes 20 stock horses more than a auto at the rear wheels... thats crap
maybe 5? Really , I dont think they make more horses, I just think the driver has more control over shift points. JMO coming from one who has owned manual and auto mustangs..
I think in 5 years we will have the weakest stock horses of any mustang of this generation, weather you have cai-tune, stock, it wont matter. You can get a supercharger on our cars and they will be about even with the 2012 v6 mustang with a cai-tune, and even then the 2012 will get 35-40 mpg.

Well if the V6 Automatic is rated lower hp, I should rub that in my friend's face :P J/K
We occassionaly go out into the country to a dead ended straight strip of road (probably about a mile stretch)and race to the end up to 75-80mph. He has about the same mods as me with the exception of a few more exterior mods. His isn't a pony package but it does have a manual tranny.
I don't know if it's my tune that is different from his (forgot what the hell he got) but mine just rips through the gears. Especially around 2-3 it takes off.I have driven his car too, definately more fun to drive, but I think the gear switching is what is causing him to be a bit slower most of the time. Like I said, maybe it's the lack of needing to shift from 2nd - 3rd for me (automatic) that mine gains an edge over his. Not trying to start a war here between the tranny's but just trying to make a statement.
All drag racing was done on a secluded road in a controlled environment (as best we could)with no traffic or other safety hazards (except ourselves). Vehicles were driven by professional slackers. Engine modifications were about the same with the exception of the manual transmission having a coil pack and wires.
