I've seen just the H-pipe go on ebay for about 50 bucks shipped...not sure what the stock cats are worth...

Weights a ton if the cats are still on it, so hopefully you can pick it up. Tell him to just cut the cats off and you'll give him $50 bucks. The GT cats won't work on our cars.

Is the GT H-pipe worth using or is there a better alternative when converting to duals?

Your only other option would be to go with a X-pipe. The GT H-pipe is really not that bad at all and is a lot cheaper than an aftermarket H-pipe.

I've been looking at something similar as well... buying a used GT H pipe with midpipes. Then I'd just get a second MRT muffler. It's hard to find anyone selling them, though. I've been unable to find any on eBay.

They will but it would be way more trouble than it's worth. On the GT H-Pipe there is no o2 sensor up near the manifold where there is on our 6's.You would have to do a lot of cutting and welding and make sure things get put in the right spot.

As for getting a GT H-pipe and Mids... keep an eye on in the market area on forums. That's how I got mine. Got the H/Mids/Hangers/Clamps/Mufflers for $200 shipped and the shipping was $120 cause the cats weight sooo much so ask if they can be cut off first...
