If you click on the firstlink Sandman gave you, there is a link on that page for the instructions, you can look'em over and get an idea of what is involved. Did my own install, only a couple of hours for most. I did headers at the same time so it took a little bit longer than average.

Gears are very subjective on the forum...LOL Do a search and limit it to the 4.0 section.

+1 for all the above posts. The FRPP V6 duals is an outstanding kit in all respects.

Welcome!! If you have questions pertaining to said mod and future mods......Chances are, your funds will deplete with a quickness! LOL Anyhow a good exhaust to start off with is a set of GT-Takeoffs. They'll run you anywhere from $35-80 depending on where you get them. I bought mine locally for 40. Only got one on so far and was gonna keep it that way but, I really like the sound and feel so yea the dual bug bit me LOL gotta save my pennies though for that FRPP set....

The gt takeoffs are just the exhaust off the gt correct lol? In theory I could get an x-pipe and 2 gt takeoffs and it should sound similar to the gt correct? I know it wont sound the same but it should be similar correct? I've dont a lot of searching for exhaust and most of the ones on youtube sound great but are a little too loud for what I'm going for. I want duals that are a tad bit louder then the stock v6. Would I have to go custom to get what I'm looking for?

I'll tell ya this.... If duals is what you really want, don't waste any money on ANY single axleback, or GT take-offs(just to use as single) You can buy the GT take-offs and a kit to use both, as long as you plan on keeping those mufflers installed that's ok. I have2 aftermarketsingle axlebacks in the garage that I paid good money for during my cars transformation. I wish I didn't waste the money on them. The FRPP duals were exactly what I was looking for. No matter which kit/components you decide to go with, work towards the goal, don't just waste money on parts that will eventually sit in the garage.

Yea they're taken of the GT's, I'm not too sure how it would sound with an X-pipe but, I dont think it'll come near GT quality. I think one of the best I've heard is the Borla/FRPP set-up, that'll probably be the closest to coming near a GT. Magnaflow also has great sound, ask Phunnyguy LOL

I went with the GT takeoffs because they were the cheapest dual set-up, just waiting on an H-pipe and I'm set

They are just the mufflers you can get them from newtakeoff.com for $80 I'm sure there maybe cheaper places just have to look around. I think in theory you could and it would be loud but don't think you could ever get the exact same sound as having 2 more cylinders like you said. I don't think you will have to go custom with all the different options. I got myself a magnaflow exhaust with superturbo mufflers and it's pretty loud but it aint no where near as loud as sandman up there. Not sure if you can order what I got online it was just what the local shop did.

No video on the web does ANY exhaust justice. Yeah, some sound ok, but none of the vids of the FRPP sound like it does in person. It's not really that loud, my duals are not as loud as the single FRPP/Borla I had previously installed.
