Default Evolution Performance CAI questions

Evo Performance sells 2 brands of CAI (C&L and JLT). The JLT one costs less than the C&L. I asked Evolution Performance why that is, even though they both produce the same hp and torque numbers. They replied saying that the JLT costs less because it is made out of plastic.

Are there any other differences between the two? Thanks.

C&L looks better IMO. and I think C&L makes a little better numbers, maybe like 1 or 2 horse. Evolution claims up to 32/34 gains with both, which is bull. That alone would turn me away from them. Are you debating getting a CAI tuner package?

^scratch that, i guess their horsepower claim is probably with race fuel, which makes it more likely...but who uses race fuel anyway?

plastic is cheaper than metal. in theory however, the plastic might keep the incoming air cooler. win/win either way. VERY happy with my C&L.

Yes I'm thinking about getting their tuner package. Is it me or does the C&L intake look like it can take in more air because of it's design?

I got myself the C&L from them when I ordered. At the time, doing research the same way you were (asking around), I heard it was the best intake to get over the rest of them there. I still believe it's the best performing and best looking (matches the metallic silver on my car). I have no numbers to prove any of it, but I just have the numerous amounts of people I remember that said it was the one to get.
