Default MMR Inlet tube and Magnaflow...

I put on the Inlet tube today from MMR, and now for some reason it seems like there is LESS power and LESS noise coming from my Magnaflow axleback, almost like stock again. I already had the CAI, all I did was add the tube to let in more air. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps my tune needs adjusted?? Thnaks in advance.

hey doc, the only thing i could think of is because you r now getting more air, your car is mostlikekly more lean, and hence not as loud, you might need a new tune becauuse now thier is more air. i would take off the new tube and try the stock tube and see if the sound changes back to how it sounded before, then youll know,

I was thinking the same thing, I am going to try that in the morning. If it is running lean, then an adjustment in the tune should help, right??

yo doc, what i ment was because you put on a streamlined tube, your engine started getting more air, the more air you get to the engine the more fuel you need. combine more air and more fuel you then have increase in horse power. when your car is not getting enough fuel, you r running lean, if your getting to much fuel but not enough air, then your running mean. these new cars are so computer intergrated you have to do a lot more to get the best results, you should take the tube of and see if the sound changes back and try to put it on again and she what happens, if you still feel like you have lost horse power then youl have to get a tune for it. if that is the case i would recomrend leaving the tube of until you do the tune, remember to lean or to mean can be dangerous and harmful to the engine, i dought the tube would put you in the dangerous zone, but better safe than sorry, and i did your message by the way. if you need more help, email me at aeref22@aol.com. good luck guy and drive safe. i just got my stang back from the shop, they basterds gave me the car back 90% FINISHED, BACK ORDER IS A MOTHER, oh well i can still drive
