Question This post is for anyone who has put on the stock 17" GT wheels with Pirelli's

I am curious as to what air pressure you use, are you going by the door panel on your 4.0 or by Pirelli's suggestions? I am not seeing any unusual wear pattern, but I am just wondering whether the 35 psi I have in my tires is going to affect wear and tear anywhere else.

Thanks for your patience and replies

I have these and it says 44 max psi on the side wall. I run them with 40psi. Gets better gas mileage that way. I have noticed no extra wear at all. Iv'e got about 21K and still shows good tread wear.

My car came stock with the 17" wheels and Pirellis (2006 Pony). The sticker on the door says 32lbs of pressure all the way around.

Thanks for all the replies, I was just making certain I was going to screw something up. I just need to get T.P. light to shut off, but thats a project for later on.

I'm running the max pressure from the sidewall. No problems with wear as of yet, and man, does she coast! Hypermiling baby.

The max pressure is for the max load.
The Stang does not come close to the
max load of the tire. Recommended tire
pressures are for the percentage of load
that the tire has to support.
