How much better does an H-set-up sound as compared to the Y-set-up, if at all? What is the advantage or disadvantage in sound and in performance?

Duals in general won't give our cars very little power if any. They're mostly for sound and looks. H-pipe is probably the best sounding of them all, I have a Y-pipe set from Ninosport and its sounds good.

Heck yes get duals. I'm very happy with GT Manuals and an H pipe. I love the sound.
And of course the look is great as well. No more power, just looks and sound.

Does the H-pipe set-up rob the V6 of any power over the Y/X-pipe set-up, and if so, then how much? I'm not into speed, but I certainly don't want to lose any.

I had the single GT Manual on for about a week. Then had the drivers side and the H installed. I noticed no loss or gain with the H and duals.

When Ford Racing developed their dual exhaust kit for the 4.0 v6, they used an X-pipe. Maybe they did that because it works well with the GTA mufflers.. ? Who knows.. but my guess is there is no real difference between the H and X... and it has more to do with the mufflers you choose. The y pipe, I would think, would sound different than the H or X though.

Thanks, everyone. As best as you know from what you might have read here or have personally experienced, which is the better sound (more aggressive): X-pipe, or H-pipe?

Also, if possible, I would appreciate your description of the difference in sound between the two.
