Default Exhaust System Ideas

I posted this in the general section, but didn't get anything out of it, so I'll repost it here....
I was looking through some old threads and found Project85's thread about his exhaust system https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-0l...ally-over.html

I really like the design of that setup, so I was looking at mufflers on summit's website and had an idea. Basically it would be a modified version of Project85's setup except instead of two separate mufflers, I was thinking of using a single in/dual out muffler. The mufflers would flow into two 18 " long, 4" diameter stainless slash cut tips that would be tucked very tightly to the bumper so they don't hang down and look goofy like a lot of setups I've seen before.

Here's a crude mockup of the setup.

Black is the cats, the dark gray in the middle is the muffler, and the dark gray at the bottom is the tips. The green line in the middle is where the stock exhaust would be cut.

Links to the muffler and tips I would use

What do you guys think? I think it'd sound ok, but that's me. I'd like to have a deep, good tone, rather than a loud raspy sound that I hear all too often on other dual'd v6's. Also, do you guys think that a competent exhaust shop would be able to fab this up and install it to my picky standards? There's a video on youtube that has a v6 with stingers, and I love the way it looks from the rear, and I want mine to look like it. it has big pronounced polished tips, I think 4" in diameter, but the tips are very tight on the bumper, I'd like to mimic it.

I don't know, if that's the route you wanna go and you like the sound then go for it. Personally I like the sound of an h-pipe better, but it's about what you like. Definitely get the Stingers though, they sound and look awesome.

I'm not sure how yours will sound because you will be using the OVAL style mufflers while I have the ROUND.
It should work though

I might switch to 18" round instead of current 22" I wanna give it a little more rumble

NO DRONE FTW!

Just make sure you have plenty of ground clearance....you dont want to hang/hit the front of the muffler on a speed bump or something and tear it apart! SHould be ok if it's installed right.

Looks like an interesting Idea, but I'm not sure if something like that could fit. The fuel tank is right under the middle of the car infront of the rear axle and I think that might make things difficult. I'm trying to visualize it, but it might you would probably need some pretty severe bends on the drivers side piping to get it to fit.

I like the idea though. Take the car to a good muffler shop and have someone put it on a lift so you guys can get a good look at it and try to come up with a plan to try and make your idea work. It would probably sound really good if that setup is possible.
