Hurst Shifter Problems

I have been very successful with the Hurst shifter, but I don't use any of their hardware...
First, I use longer bolts and a jam nut for the other side of the handle.
The key here, is to tighten those puppies really good.
Second, I use 4 copper washers instead of the two cheap ones provided.
After more than 10 installations, none have failed yet.
I will say that the T5 tranny in the V6 plainly sucks.
It's clumsy and sometimes vibrates even with the OEM shifter...
