i have a 07 v6 convertible with dual borla stinger with h-pipe.. yeah its loud... i put resonators on it too, so its really pretty much still loud...

FWIW... I have a set of GT take offs that I put on when we go on long road trips (200-500 miles) and they are quiet as a baby imo.

If you want to cut some of the droning down, you can get a couple resonators. Install them in the exhaust system, but be sure to space them out. The "droning" is caused by the exhaust sounds traveling through the pipes. The sound is a little different as it goes down the pipes, but when both pipes make the exact same wavelength (sound) at the exact same time, they cause the "drone." To eliminate or reduce it you need to make both sides a little different. Put a resinator in one side at a given spot. Then put another one in a few inches away from that spot on the other pipe. Its kinda hard to explain.

The clamps are to hold the pipes in your exhaust kit together. How did you do it? Did you have a different style clamp or weld it?
This pic might help:

enlarge the pic and you'll see a set of the fore mentioned clamps. We used the clamps to the right of those to attached the x pipe to the cats. I'm encountering a problem right now and this might be the cause. One of my mufflers in the back keeps moving and will not stay centered. We bolt everything together and all is fine, then after a day or so the pipe moves right back to hitting the bezel or the exhaust port of my bumper. I have a feeling that these other clamps are the solution. Looks like they might be able to clamp down even further.

Going to have the shop replace the clamps and see if this helps.

Oh thanks for the info on the resonators. Any idea on the proper resonator for out stangs? I think I understand what your talking about with placing the resonators in different locations. Basically you want to augment the sound wave so that each pipe's frequency's are never the same? so not to cause the droning.

Now I just need to find the resonators.

Thanks
