Thanks for the response,
I assume it's like that, bu then doubt comes into mind when I see that they already have 2010 cai for the GT, if it fits, why make a specific 2010? anyone else try it? any 2010ners???

My thoughts and questions. I wanted to put in a new K&N CAI and when I went to the auto parts store they called the K&N helpdesk(?). We were told that K&N hadn't come out with a system for the 2010 V6 as of yet. According to them there had been changes made in the engine compartment that required them to change the setup. Was also told that last years model wouldn't work in my 2010. BBK right now seems to be the only company making them for the 10 V6 right now. Those are my thoughts so here is my question. I was going to buy the BBK CAI this week and was told that for the V6 2010 I really wouldn't get that much out of it. With the design of the new 2010 we really didn't need a CAI. While looking at my air filter box right now there is nothing but the K&N air filter that I put in. Can modifications be done to the airbox now i.e. open the air intake hole by making it bigger or would this just really screw up the whole system?

Anything you do without a custom tune won't do chit. The bulk of the gain from a CAI & tune comes from the tune. A stand-alone CAI might gain you 3-4 RWHP; sometimes not even butt-dyno noticeable. The combo will triple to quadruple that or more.

No 05-09 CAI will not fit your 2010, I dont know the exact reason but I think it has to do with either different mounting or sizing possibly. Anyway the only 2010 V6 CAI currently available are C&l, BBK, and Tuneable Inductions.

You are right, I have the BBK and it throws my engine light sometimes and I just get it cleared with my scan tool but it will make you run lean so dont believe that crap when they say you dont need a tune. It just improved my throttle response more then anything.
